DASL Support Policy

Due to the extremely low level of usage of DASL, InterSystems is making several changes to DASL support policies:

1. DASL will continue to be shipped as part of DSM. However, DASL documentation will not automatically ship with each DSM system. Rather, it will only be provided on request.
2. DASL will continue to be supported as part of DSM through December 31, 1997. No new features are planned during this period but InterSystems will continue to provide telephone assistance and to fix critical bugs. This is consistent with the level of support provided by Digital prior to our acquisition of DSM and to our level of support over the last eighteen months.
3. DASL for ISM UNIX, which is currently being tested by IDX, will be provided (on an "as is" basis) free of charge to any customer who wants it. InterSystems will not provide support for this software.
4. DASL source code will be provided on request to current DASL users to enable them to carry out their own product maintenance.
