The Open M Programming Guide describes functional extensions to the M language, the development of intermediate code routines, the Routine Line Editor, error processing and debugging, global database concepts, and the use of Open M utilities.

Open M Networking Guides

The Open M/SQL M/NET Management Guide describes ISNET, InterSystems's networking protocol for distributed databases under Open M/SQL. ISNET runs on all Open M/SQL platforms. This guide describes differences that exist in networking on the various platforms supported by Open M/SQL. It also provides a comprehensive description of the MNET utility, used for configuring and managing an ISNET network. This guide also describes InterSystems's implementation of DSM-DDP networking.

The Open M [DTM] Documentation Set is a multi-volume document set that describes how to use Open M for Windows, InterSystems's implementation of the M programming language for IBM PCs and compatibles. The document set covers DTM-specific language extensions, installation, and configuration, as well as the DTM suite of utilities for managing the system, datasets, routines, and globals.
