32-bit DECnet Support for Windows 95

 Open M Relational Client 2.1 supports the 32-bit DECnet network communication protocol. This protocol allows Windows 95 clients with Pathworks version 6 to connect to Open M databases on VMS platforms. Relational Client 2.1 continues to support the 16-bit DECnet network communication protocol for client systems using Pathworks version 5.

Streamlined Installation Process

There are separate installations for each of the following drivers:

This improvement allows you to tailor the installation to your needs. For example, if you are only running 16-bit client applications, you can choose not to install the 32-bit ODBC driver. This customization minimizes time and disk space necessary for installation.

Relational Server

Your server must be running Open M with SQL F.9 or higher. Relational Client 2.1 relies on parallel changes to the Relational Server.
