Future Release and Support Plans For DSM, DTM, ISM and MSM

In September 2000 we published "Future Release and Support Plans For DSM, DTM, ISM, and MSM" to inform clients of our product plans. The most important point was "We will continue to sell DSM, ISM, MSM, or DTM and to provide technical assistance and key bug corrections for supported platforms to customers with support contracts." We have honored this commitment and will continue to do so.

This document updates our plan, reflecting technology and business changes occurring outside of InterSystems that affect the operating environments of our customers. We understand that a clear statement of our plans will help customers formulate their own strategies.

• InterSystems continues to sell and support DSM, DTM, ISM, and MSM licenses.

• A number of DSM 7.3 maintenance update kits have been issued, the most recent being MUP3. Although there are no plans for further DSM releases, DSM MUP kits will be available for critical customer issues, as necessary.

• There are no plans for future DTM, ISM or MSM or releases.

• Existing releases of DSM and ISM are now supported on OpenVMS 7.3-1 and 7.3-2.

• ISM and DSM will not be supported on OpenVMS 8.x.

• There are no plans to test DSM, DTM, ISM or MSM on new operating system versions. In addition, several operating systems and hardware families have been retired by their manufacturers and therefore no longer supported by InterSystems. Check the Open M Current Product List, for the list of supported platforms.

• DSM, MSM, DTM and ISM customers that want to move to Caché should contact their InterSystems account manager for migration options.

We value all of our customers and we will continue to keep you fully informed about our plans.
