How does MSM’s database differ from other databases?

Instead of storing data in tables, columns, and rows like a relational database, MSM stores data in cross-tab views called arrays. The arrays store data in a very organized fashion, which makes analysis much easier. Arrays then can be structured to sort data in unlimited dimensions. This allows users to “drill down” into their databases to locate the information they want quickly.
